Hastings, United Kingdom, 13 – 19 September 2026

From the Morgan Factory in Malvern I drove to Milton Keynes just for the night. My original plan was to visit the Formula 1 teams (Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1, Williams F1, McLaren Technology Centre, Red Bull Racing) in this area but I soon learned that this was not possible without an invitation and even then in would cost in the region of £600. So I drove to my friends place in Hastings where I used to store my bike (in his garage). It seems I have friends that want to see whats left of me in the flesh hahaha. Having visited Hasting twice a year for the last 13 years to collect and drop off my bike there was nothing new to see or do except catch up on the gossip.

Interesting fun fact. Along with the British Empire came the practice of naming foreign places after English people and places. The Hastings Valley and river on the east coast of Australia was named in honor of the Marquess of Hasting by John Oxley in 1813. It’s no wonder that people wished to see you in person, so they could hear of your remarkable recovery after your tragic bike accident. “Volenti via est” For the willing there is a way. Fine dining no doubt at an old English pub with pork pie and classic Irish dry stout to wash it down. Good One.
